Thailand’s Mission to Become a Startup Nation

Bringing together the hottest Thai startups, along with entrepreneurs, speakers and investors from around the globe to exchange ideas and perspective at the conference, Startup Thailand 2019 showcases Thailand’s potential to be the Global Startup Hub of ASEAN. Our HealthInc team was in Bangkok to see what’s going on already in health tech and how we can connect our local ecosystems to innovate globally.

Bangkok: Global Startup Hub of ASEAN

With the aspiration to become Southeast Asia’s startup hub, both the government and private sector for the past three years have joined forces to relentlessly push for the materalisation of a startup-friendly ecosystem. The effort resulted in the establishment of the National Startup Committee, Startup Thailand Centre, Innovation District, as well as the proliferation of accelerators and co-working spaces.

The Thai startup ecosystem is emerging and ready to scale. That’s the take-home message from the Startup Thailand Conference 2019 in Bangkok. Thailand set an ambitious mission to become a true startup nation.

Like in any startup conference on the globe, pitching is an inseparable part of Startup Thailand conferences.
